I hope everyone had a amazing weekend! If you have seen my instagram post I mentioned that my husband and I had more of a relaxing weekend.
Most of you don’t really know but my husband has been in the Army for over three years now. When his contract came up for renewal he decided he wanted to get out and do other things. So Friday was officially his last day in the United States Army!
I am so excited for him to close one chapter and open another. He has made me so proud with all that he has done with his military career, and all that he has done for me and Sadie. I know one of the things that excites me most is him being around more often and not having to worry about field rotations and DEPLOYMENTS. I know for him he has said he can’t wait to stop shaving and grow out his hair! Haha
He is beyond proud of his military career and grateful he has gotten to meet so many amazing people. This is something he has always wanted to do and accomplish and now he’s even more exited so see where life takes him next!
So this weekend we didn’t even decide to do it, we just ended up just relaxing and going with the flow! Sometimes when life gets crazy you just need a day or weekend to just chill and worry about things on Monday. Am I right?
On Saturday we went and saw the movie Hell Fest, it was actually a pretty good movie. We are big fans of horror and I almost expected it to be one of those cheesy horror flicks. To my surprise it was better than I thought! It did freak my husband and I out a bit, since the whole idea of the movie is based around a horror attraction in October and we love to do things like that. After we left we were rethinking going to haunted houses this year… haha.
We stopped at a farmers market and just checked out all the pumpkins and mums and the fresh fruits and veggies that they had! To my surprise they had a maple butter which I’ve been on the hunt for what feels like FOREVER! I had it once at my cousins house and have not been able to find it anywhere. It is super sweet, and super yum! Me and my husband tried it out on waffles that I made and its all you need. With just the right amount of maple flavor it melts into your pancake or waffle and gives off such a great taste. If you happen to see it around I would certainly check it out.
On Sunday, we had plans to check out a pumpkin patch near us. However this NC heat had us saying HECK NO! It was honestly so hot and humid that we just couldn’t get in the pumpkin patch spirit. I give everyone here credit that went out and did all the fall activities because the heat just has me saying noooo. Is that awful?
Either way we ended up just relaxing on the couch most of the day watching halloween movies on tv and then the premier of The Walking Dead at night, which I almost forgot about. Whoops.
So, now its Monday and its time to get my butt moving again.
How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun or having a relaxing one like we did!?
